For larger projects, a simple job isn't enough. Contracts let you manage complex work across multiple stages.
When to Use Contracts
Use contracts for:
- Renovations with multiple stages
- Commercial projects with milestones
- Any job where you invoice in parts
Creating a Contract
Go to Jobs → Contracts → New Contract. Add the overall project details, then create stages:
- **Stage 1**: Deposit / mobilisation
- **Stage 2**: First fix / rough-in
- **Stage 3**: Final fit-off
- **Stage 4**: Practical completion
Each stage can have its own quote, schedule, and invoice.
Progress Tracking
See the overall contract progress at a glance. Completed stages are marked green, in-progress stages are amber, and pending stages are grey.
Variations
When the scope changes (and it always does), add a variation. The customer approves it, and the contract value updates automatically.
